Functional Elektrical Stimulation makes the stimulation of temporarly or latently damaged muscle possible. This technique can be used in various ranges for the diagnostics and the therapy.
The Hasomed GmbH develops and produces a system to the functional elektrical stimulation, which was awarded on exhibition REHACARE INTERNATIONAL 2005 with an innovation price.
All devices and systems are CE certified.
As basis equipment serves the universal stimulator RehaStim, which can be used everywhere, where in therapy or diagnostics electrical stimulation is needed.
With the RehaBike the stimulator RehaStim is used, in order to let a paralysed user ride a tricycle with the muscle power of the own legs!
RehaMove is a combination of an active, motor driven ergometer and the RehaStim. RehaMove is used in the neurological rehablitation for a movement training of the lower and upper extremities supported by functional elektrical stimulation.

| | RehaStim - A universal stimulator for Functional Electrical Stimulation | |

RehaStim is a stimulation device offering a wide range of applications and ease of use unique in Europe.
Controlled by several internal micro computers, RehaStim meets all demands for the application of electrical stimulation in the clinical and home environments.
RehaStim is the basic device for numerous Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) application systems. Through special inputs and outputs, RehaStim can be connected to further devices. The device design aims to maximise patient
safety.
The stimulator provides a number of application programs for practical use. In Science Mode, the user can fl exibly control stimulation with a PC via a USB interface - a highlight for clinical research!

Following applications show exemplarily the therapeutic possibilities of the stimulator RehaStim.

| | RehaMove - Ergometer training with Functional Electrical Stimulation | |

Motor powered ergometers form a part of standard therapy in movement disorders, for example after stroke or accidents.
RehaMove supplements this therapy through Functional Electrical Stimulation of the impaired arms and legs and opens up completely new therapeutic possibilities for central paralysis.
Through Functional Electrical Stimulation, the affected muscles are trained and the process of motor nerve propagation is accelerated.
More effective neurological rehabilitation is feasible.

| | RehaBike - Tricycling for paraplegic people by means of Functional Electrical Stimulation | |

The RehaBike enables people affected by paralysis to ride a tricycle using the muscular power of their own legs.
By means of Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), muscles in the thigh are activated in such a way that coordinated movement is possible and suffi cient power is generated.
This enables paralysed people to actively use their lower limbs again. The exercise boosts the metabolism and the cardiovascular system with many positive effects.
RehaBike offers people affected by paralysis a higher quality of life through physical exercise during an activity which is fun!
