RehaCom - computer-assisted cognitive rehabilitation RehaCom is a complex system of procedures for computer-assisted cognitive rehabilitation. It assists the therapist in the therapy of cognitive disorders by supporting processes of restoration and substitution, by exercising given compensation strategies and by offering cost-saving therapy solutions to hospitals and practices. Since 1996 RehaCom has been developed by HASOMED GmbH (Inc, Ltd) in Magdeburg/ Germany. For a few years, RehaCom has been market leader in Europe. The system is currently available in 15 languages.

Computer- assisted cognitive rehabilitation with RehaCom The patient or the affected person can work with RehaCom on a regular computer (executable with Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Windows7). The system makes scientifically funded tasks available to the patient over the screen and loudspeakers. These tasks are solved by the patient in the sense of a training of cognitive functions. The operation of RehaCom is easy to learn for the affected person. Motor or seriously cognitively handicapped people can use the RehaCom board - a special keyboard with simple, large and clear keys. Alternatively you can work with a usual computer keyboard. Also for the therapist handling RehaCom is very fast and easy to learn. In all procedures the operation interface is identical. Extensive manuals are available on the RehaCom CD, explaning both the theoretical background and the procedures.   RehaCom is not a computer game but a scientifically compiled system of procedures for the cognitive rehabilitation!   Please click on the pictures to see them enlarged .

All training procedures automatically adapt in their difficulty to the achievement possibilities of the patient. Thus the training remains always interesting and never expects too much or too little from the affected person. The motivation of the training person is maximally promoted by close-to-reality procedures, a varied training and positive statements in the achievement feedback. The training data are registered and give the therapist the possibility for exact analyses for further training strategies.

Currently there are more than 20 training procedures available in the following fields:

The RehaCom procedures have been clinically validated by means of extensive studies and are constantly extended with latest technologies. RehaCom has been developed since 1986 by the coworkers of Hasomed GmbH (Ltd, Inc) in Magdeburg together with experienced neuropsychologists. All procedures are based on the basic concept by Professor Hans Regel and are theoretically funded.

RehaCom can be used with 

a) a the special RehaCom patients keybord or

b) a standard computer keyboard, mouse or touchscreen.

The special RehaCom patients keyboard is recommended to motor and cognitively handicapped patients.

If you prefer the operation of RehaCom via the regular computer keyboard, you need a hardware protection module (small plug on USB connector).

You can acquire licenses on 2 different options:

One option is to work "temporally unlimited" with ONE procedure.

The other option is to acquire "global" licenses which allow you to use ALL RehaCom procedures temporally limited. With a "global" license ONE patient works with ONE procedure up to one hour. Currently a training consultation as global license costs 1,65€ (~2,35$) only! On this basis you can calculate exactly which costs result from RehaCom for your institution and compare them to the receipts of a training session.

If you buy RehaCom for the first time, we recommend you to decide first either for a board or a dongle and then acquire the procedures most important to you temporally unlimited and additionally a number of global licenses. With the global licenses you can find out which further training options result in your house. For these options you should then acquire "temporally unlimited" procedures. With the invoice we will send you a license number key by fax or e-mail which you simply enter in RehaCom. It will go on immediately!
