| | NESU Box - for psycho-linguistic experiments | |

The Max-Planck- Institute (MPI) for Psycholinguistics, Nijmegen, Netherlands, developed a complex universal system for the carrying out of psycho-linguistic experiments and the diagnosis and therapy of speech defects. The system consists of a software (from 2002 on available as WINDOWS version) and a steering device called NESU box. The NESU box was developed by HASOMED and is fully compatible with the NESU software of the MPI. Microphones, tracers, headphones etc. are connected with the NESU box. The patient can be stimulated over a range of sound and light signals timed highly exactly. The free programming of complex experiments is possible.

| | Recording of CNV (Contingent Negativ Variation) and analysis of EEG potentials | |

The CNV (Contingent Negative Variation) is a special low-frequency EEG- signal. It is used for the diagnosis of a range of diseases. Through it e.g. fits of migraine can be predicted. After a feedback training, the patient can learn to encounter a migraine attack effectively. The system was developed together with the Institute for Medical Psychology at the University of Kiel/ Germany (Prof. Dieter Gerber, Dr. Peter Kropp, Dr. Uwe Niederberger).
