RehaStim is a stimulation device offering a wide range of applications and ease of use unique in Europe. Controlled by several internal micro computers, RehaStim meets all demands for the application of electrical stimulation in clinical and home environments.
RehaStim is the basic device for numerous Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) application systems. Through special inputs and outputs, RehaStim can be connected to further devices.
The device design aims to maximise patient safety.
The stimulator provides a number of application programs for practical use.
In ScienceMode, the user can flexibly control stimulation with a PC via USB Interface - a highlight for clinical research!

RehaStim can implement a wide range of tasks when applying electrical stimulation sequences in diagnostics and therapy. The main emphasis is on the fi eld of Functional Electrical Stimulation, as implemented in RehaBike and RehaMove. Combined with further devices, RehaStim can be used to control additional movement sequences for impaired limbs such as standing up, straightening, gripping etc. Of course, RehaStim can also be applied to prevent or retard disuse atrophy of muscles, increase the local blood circulation, relax muscle spasms and maintain or increase the client’s range of motion.

The stimulation channels – up to 8 channels – are situated on two modules with 4 channels each, electrically isolated from application components. On each module a microcomputer manages time-critical tasks and ensures that the legal norms for electrical stimulation are met. Thus extremely fast and very short impulse sequences can be generated. Further microprocessors are responsible for complex operations and special application tasks. To control the stimulation, the programs can access external analogue and digital input signals. The stimulator can be adapted to various fi elds of application by exchanging the software. To operate the stimulator a touch screen with a graphical display similar to a PC is used. For specifi c applications a customised interface is possible. By touching the display and following the intuitive user guidance, adjusting the stimulator becomes a mere child´s play. You save valuable time!
Of particular importance are special RehaStim inputs and outputs where further devices can be connectet. Thus you can put complex systems for Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) into practice. In this way the RehaStim becomes a basic device for systems such as RehaBike or RehaBike. Through a USB connection the stimulator can be controlled by a standard computer.
The Science Mode offers completely new possibilities for clinical research applications.
