RehaIngest is a new standard in the diagnosis and therapy of swallowing disorders (dysphagia). The therapy system developed jointly by HASOMED GmbH and the Unfallkrankenhaus (UKB) Berlin is non-invasive. In order to detect swallowing, electromyography and bioimpedance signals, which are detected by electrodes, are automatically and simultaneously processed. This also enables an objective assessment of swallowing.
RehaIngest was awarded third place for this approach in the Hugo Junkers Prize 2019 in the category "Most Innovative Product Development/Services/Business Models".
"For 27 years, the name HASOMED has stood for innovative products and technologies. We are delighted about this award, which at the same time is an incentive for us to develop further pioneering medical products made in Saxony-Anhalt," says Ingo Heyroth, Head of Medical Technology at HASOMED GmbH.
More than 70 projects and products from industry and science were among the candidates for the Junckers Prize this year. There were 39 applicants in the category for the most innovative product development.
The Hugo Junkers Prize has been awarded by the Ministry of Economics, Science and Digitization of Saxony-Anhalt for more than 28 years. The prize is awarded to innovators from science, industry and trade.
